2006 Jan/Feb CONCORD - 2006

CONCORD would like to thank you for your support in 2005. The role you play by being a part of this vision, whether in a big or small way, makes an enormous difference and is highly valued.
The first album “The time, The season” has done very well and has opened many doors, not only for Concord, but for many South African musicians who are beginning to realise that the future of art lies with the independence of the artist.

2005:
May - Concord recorded a “Live” music DVD at Bassline, Johannesburg.
Release date: Oct/Nov 2006

June – Nov. - Toured with Johnny Clegg: France, Germany, UK, Italy, Norway,
USA, Canada, Australia & New Zealand.
In most of these countries Concord managed to get his music on
radio and even did a few interviews.

November - Concord is named the recipient of the Standard Bank Young Artist
Award (Jazz) for 2006

2006:
Jan/Feb - Currently in studio, recording the second CD for a March 2006
Release.

March/April - Launch of new CD “This is my world”

June/July - Performing at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival
as a part of the Standard Bank Young Artist Award 2006.

Oct/Nov - Launch of DVD


“I am very excited about the new album, another project that hopes to encourage
South Africans to claim their place on the world stage and declare that this is our
world too. In 2006 we plan to have more live performances, conduct more workshops
on business aspects of the music industry. I trust that we will interact with you more,
as we all work out who we are, as individuals & as a nation. I truly hope that this is
the year in which each South African can really say, “This is my world”.
