2006
With 2006 behind, one cannot help but look back with both a sigh and a smile.
2006 was my toughest year ever, yet the most uplifting one by far. Focusing on my solo project and cutting down on backing other artists proved to be a financially challenging exercise. That was also the time when the recording of the new CD had just begun. It was truly a humbling period of my life.
Receiving the Standard Bank Young Artist Award for Jazz – 2006 was something I couldn’t have seen coming. In addition to the prestige that this award brings, it also comes with an amazing support in as far as Marketing, Publicity, Networking, Performance opportunities & Financial support are concerned.

The new CD “This is my world” got released at the end of 2006.

- Standard Bank Joy of Jazz International Festival – Johannesburg
- IMF/World Bank Conference – Singapore
- Chinese Embassy Concert – Johannesburg

2007
The new CD is gaining momentum steadily & beautifully so, receiving great print reviews. Radio airplay is growing nationally, creating more opportunities for live performances. We also plan to link up workshops with these performances.
A music video for the song “Ko hae/Hayani” is currently under production.
A live DVD will be released later in the year.
